Named after its oak trees, the Naval Live Oaks Reservation, or the Deer Point Live Oaks Reservation is a recreational area in the Gulf Islands National Seashore. This place was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998 and the oak from this area, known as Live Oak wood, was a popular ship building material in the past.
