An interdisciplinary regional arts center, the Northwest Art Center
The Pioneer Village of the Ward County Historical Society features antique cars, horse-drawn buggies and sleds, two schoolhouses from McHenry County, various printing presses from different eras, an iron lung, pianos, dental equipment, a blacksmith shop, general store, barbershop, more than 1,000 photos taken during World War II, farming tools and more.
Formerly known as the Minot Art Gallery, the Lillian & Coleman Taube Museum of Art is housed downtown in the historically renovated Union National Bank building that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The public can enjoy art exhibits and programs throughout the year.
The Railroad Museum of Minot in the Old Pipe-Howe Lumber Building was founded as part of the Centennial celebrations by a group of retired and active railroad employees in 1986. Photographs and railroad memorabilia show the progression of the railroad. The museum is open on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. or by appointment.
The Dakota Territory Air Museum includes a 1928 Waco, 1945 Taylorcraft, 1949 Cessna 195, 1940 Waco UPF-7, Lockheed T-33 Jet Trainer, Douglas C-47 (DC-3) World War II transport, 1934 Stinson Reliant AR5-A, Minot Fire Department trucks from the 1920's and 1930's, aviation photographs, and a large collection of aviation literature and periodicals.
