Brentwood Hills Church of Christ is a vibrant Christian community meeting the needs of Church of Christ families and individuals in the Brentwood area. The church focuses its efforts on preaching the gospel, evangelism and discipleship. Christian religious education is available year-round for children, youth, college students, young adults, couples and seniors. Christ Church Nashville is located in South Nashville and serves both South Nashville and parts of West Nashville. The church offers a full range of educational ministries for children, youth, young adults, men, women and seniors including Sunday morning classes, Men's Fraternity and women's ministries. The church also provides a variety of special outreach ministries including programs to feed the homeless, provide help for expectant mothers, outreach to the deaf community and services for the Hispanic community. Church of the Good Shepherd is a welcoming Episcopal church located in Brentwood, Tennessee. The church offers both a traditional and a contemporary worship service as well as Christian educational programs for members and visitors of all ages. Church of the Good Shepherd was established in 1995 and has grown steadily into one of the largest, thriving Episcopal churches in the Nashville area. Family-focused, Church of the Good Shepherd offers a summer vacation bible school in addition to first communion preparation and teen confirmation classes. Covenant Presbyterian Church overlooks the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville. Although the church itself is relatively young, having begun as a church plant in 1990, the sanctuary, which completed construction in 2009, was built in the style of an old cathedral complete with stone architecture, a high-arched nave and a gorgeous pipe organ. Educational ministries are specifically designed for children, youth, college students, and adults. The church also hosts special events throughout the year and coordinates a variety of volunteer ministries. Located on the Lipscomb University campus is the Collins Alumni Auditorium. The place has a seating capacity of up to 1,300 spectators. It is primarily used for concerts and lectures. It is equipped with the latest sound and lighting facilities.
The Shamblin Theater is managed by the Lipscomb University and located in its enormous campus itself. The theater only adds to the university's versatility, since, the university has always promoted dance and dramatics through social clubs and other student activities. The Shamblin theater is extensively used by the university students to display their talents and theatrical abilities through various plays and drama's. It is a great venue for a number of outside concerts and events and a platform for the youth to showcase their talents.
The Allen Arena is located at the south end of Lipscomb University's campus and is used for a variety of events predominantly used for basketball and volleyball matches. It is home to the university chapel, Bison and Lady Bisons. The Allen Arena has also played host to events like the 'Annual Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation Concert' wherein a number of celebrities have made appearances. With a seating capacity of 5,028, this place makes a great venue for athletic events. During concerts, the arena can accommodate upto 3,585 people.
Ward Hall is a 250-seat performance center, conveniently tucked inside the Lipscomb University campus, at Granny White Pike at Nashville. Whether you are looking for a venue for holding plays or you are on a look out for a decent place to host concerts, Ward Hall would quite comfortably suffice for all your events' needs. The acoustics, well-lit stage, green room, sconces on the wall and the overall decor serves good for a performing arts center that Ward is.
